Antigen Description	Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member L1 (ALDH1L1) was originally discovered as an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate, with NADPH and CO2 as by products. ALDH1L1 is most exclusively expressed by astroglial cells1 implicating these cells as the major components of folate-dependent formate oxidation in the brain.

Preparation	The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.

Storage & Handling	Reconstitute the antibody with 200 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 0.5mg/ml. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20C for at least for six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
